Simulation Model — Mixed Model Line

A discrete-event simulation of a line building three product models (A, B, C) in a leveled sequence. Two feeder lines build subassemblies that marry into the main line. IPK buffers sit between every station. Because each model has different work content, the line naturally produces blocking and waiting — the emergent behavior a spreadsheet can't show. Model A
Model B
Model C (heaviest work content)
Subassembly (from feeders)
Each station glows green when working, red when blocked, and amber when waiting. The little squares inside each IPK are kanban slots filling and emptying. Watch how a heavy Model C at the constraint station ripples backward as blocking and forward as starving — and how the buffers absorb it.
